What is Neobes?

Neobes is one of the trade names of Diethylpropion (another trade names are Regenon, Tenuate, Dietec, Liposlim).

Neobes is a weight loss medication used for short-term period along with physically workouts and well balanced diet.

Neobes is recommended only for people with an initial body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater (or 27 or greater if the person has other risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol).

It is obtainable in different forms like controlled-release capsules and immediate-release capsules.

How to take Neobes?

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.

Neobes usually is taken three times a day, 1 hour before meals (regular tablets), or once a day in midmorning (extended-release tablets).

Do not crush, chew, or cut extended-release tablets; swallow them whole.

Neobes may be habit-forming. Call your doctor if Neobes (Regenon) loses its effect.

Neobes Side effects

Neobes side effects may include the following:

  • nervousness
  • restlessness
  • difficulty sleeping
  • dry mouth.

Neobes Precautions

Neobes should not be taken if any of the following conditions exist unless thoroughly discussed with a physician and intense monitoring ensues:

  • thyroid problems
  • anxiety
  • epilepsy or other seizure disorders
  • diabetics (without the consulting with medical doctor about changes in insulin drug therapy)
  • chronic heart disease
  • high blood pressure
  • arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)
  • glaucoma
  • anyone taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in last 14 days
  • children under 12 years of age
  • history of drug or alcohol abuse
  • nursing mothers.
